This wine is defined by dark, earthy aromas of berries and spices with soft, structural tannins. Aromas of pink peppercorn, juicy blackberry, and rich cacao are lush and vibrant on the nose. On the palate, they evolve into hibiscus, fresh mission fig, and a touch of dusty earth. The supple, elegant tannins carry through the finish with a juicy, lively line of acidity that lingers in the mouth on a notes of cassis and baker’s chocolate.
The 2021 growing season was warmer than average, with a dry hea t throughout the summer. In the Columbia Valley, this resulted in the fruit being ripe earlier in the season, giving us gr apes full of vibr ant and focused flavors.
