Notes of huckleberry, black pepper, cayenne, and red clay come through on the nose, while the palate is long and bright with eloquent tannins. There is a hint of ferrous minerality that draws the wine to a complex, lingering finish.
The 2021 growing season was warmer than average, with a dry heat throughout the summer. In the Columbia Valley, this resulted in the fruit being ripe earlier in the season, giving us grapes full of vibrant and focused flavors.
