2015 History Hyland Vineyard Riesling
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
In 1972, four couples purchased and began planting a vineyard on a perfectly-placed piece of remote terrain in the eastern foothills of the Coast Range, southwest of McMinnville. The vineyard now spans over 200 acres, making it one of Oregon’s oldest and largest. Our 2015 Hyland Vineyard Riesling exhibits bright citrus, stone fruit, petrol and beeswax on the nose with fresh, clean citrus on the palate and a pleasantly dry finish.
VINTAGE OVERVIEW
The 2015 vintage was a near-perfect growing season in the Willamette Valley, creating concentrated wines with complex layers and bright acidity. This Riesling was fermented in both stainless steel and neutral oak, which produces a medium weight viscosity on the palate.
