2016 History Red Willow Cabernet Franc 1.5L
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Red Willow is the furthest west vineyard in the Yakima Valley, founded in 1971. This vineyard is one of the oldest in Washington state, as well as the first to plant Cabernet Franc. Planted on a steep hillside, the fruit from these 25-year-old-vines truly reflect their unique site. Rich and supple aromatics of fresh tobacco, sandalwood, and fresh fig fill the glass. The palate meets the nose, showing fresh Italian plum and white pepper, with a racy vibrancy on the finish.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
The 2016 growing season was moderately warm and dry, which allowed for a long hang time, creating complex flavors in the resulting wines.
