2017 History Windrow Cabernet Sauvignon

2017 History Windrow Cabernet Sauvignon

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Windrow Vineyard was the first commercial vineyard planted in the Walla Walla Valley in 1981. Proving to be ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, the site experiences hot days and cold nights, creating wines with vibrant intensity. Alluring aromatics pull you into the glass with notes of peppercorn, fresh herbs, and an ever so soft hint of menthol. The palate is full and rich with flavors of cassis, dark brandied cherries that are heightened with a hint of fresh cigar box from the oak barrels. Outstanding in its youth, this Cabernet Sauvignon will age for years to come.

VINTAGE OVERVIEW

The 2017 vintage was a classic growing season in the Pacific Northwest. The cool, sunny temperatures during harvest allowed the fruit to have a long hang time and develop rich flavors.
