2018 History Canoe Ridge Vineyard Merlot

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Intriguing aromatics of ripe raspberry, Herbs de Provence, pink peppercorns, and cocoa lift out of the glass. The palate is luscious with supple tannins supported by flavors of dried black cherries and warm baking spice. This wine is firmly textured hinting at its longevity.

VINTAGE OVERVIEW 

On average, the 2018 vintage was a warmer and drier growing season. The most notable climatic feature to this harvest was the pleasantly dry and moderately warm harvest weather that began in June and continued into early November. This allowed us to pick based on ripe flavors and near-perfect acidity.
